Support options for students who learn differently
Every program at Dyscalculia Tutoring uses our
Math Bridge Method™ to move students
from “I can’t do this” toward “I think I can.”
Different students need different kinds of support.
The method stays the same: we map what your child can do, create safe early wins, build real understanding with multi-sensory instruction, and sustain progress over time.
We’ll help you choose the best-fit option for your child.
Where is your child on their math journey?
You don’t have to walk into this knowing which program to pick.
A better question is: “Where is my child right now—and what kind of support fits that?”
Most families we work with fall into one of three places:
Rebuilding foundations: Big gaps, frequent shutdowns, and “I’m just bad at math” talk
Ready for small-group support: Some basics are there, but they can’t keep up in class and need more structure and coaching.
Keeping momentum going: Things are finally working—and you don’t want that progress to disappear at the next transition.
Our offerings are built around those three realities.
Foundations 1:1 Support
for rebuilding core skills, confidence, and calm
Foundations is our one-to-one option for students who need to repair the base of math and feel safer with the subject before anything else.
Who Foundations is For
Foundations is usually the best fit if your child:
Has significant gaps or wildly inconsistent performance in math
Feels panic, shutdowns, or tears around homework and tests
Has a new or suspected diagnosis (dyscalculia, ADHD, etc.) and needs a gentler path
Needs to feel safe and successful in math again before they’re ready for a group
How Foundations Works (Our 1:1 Path)
Every Foundations plan uses the Math Bridge Method™ in a one-to-one format with a dyscalculia-informed tutor. Within that, we recommend one of three versions based on your child’s needs:
Foundations (Core Skills & Confidence)
Weekly live 1:1 online sessions with a dyscalculia-trained tutor who intentionally sets schoolwork aside at first and, over the first month, builds a written learning plan focused on repairing core skills and rebuilding confidence.
→ Your child gets space to breathe and actually understand the basics again, instead of living in constant panic about the next quiz.
Foundations + Homework Support
Weekly live 1:1 sessions where we build a Foundations plan and regularly pull in current schoolwork—homework, quizzes, and tests.
→ Your child sees wins in the exact class that’s been knocking their confidence down, not just on separate practice problems.Weekly live 1:1 sessions built around the EduCalc curriculum as the main spine, customized to your child’s pace and learning profile (with a 2-month minimum and a $100 early cancellation fee if you stop before the end of month two).
→ Instead of a chaotic patchwork of topics, your child experiences math as a steady, organized path, which is especially helpful if school has been inconsistent or confusing.
What’s Included in Every Foundations Plan
Dedicated Support
First, we’ll pair you with our Director of Client Experience, who handles schedules, invoices, and communication so you’re never chasing emails and your child’s support stays consistent and uninterrupted even when life gets messy.
Weekly 1:1 sessions with a dyscalculia-trained tutor
You meet online each week with your tutor, starting from what your child can already do, so we can address root issues in the right order instead of chasing tonight’s crisis—and your child finally gets to experience math as doable, not scary or embarrassing.
Multi-sensory, Concrete–Representational–Abstract instruction
We use hands-on tools, visuals, and then symbols in every session so new ideas don’t stay abstract and slippery, and your child can finally say, “Ohhh… now this actually makes sense,” instead of “I’ve seen this a hundred times and it still won’t stick.”
Ongoing Communication and Parent Support
Between brief after-session notes from your tutor, monthly update emails from the support team about key dates and what’s coming up, and quarterly Parent Huddles to review progress and goals, you always know where things stand and what’s coming next so we can adjust support before small issues become big problems and your child gets consistent, aligned help at home, in tutoring, and at school that grows with them instead of staying stuck or triggering more conflict around math.
School Meeting Advocacy (1 Meeting Per Year)
Once per year we join an IEP, 504, or similar school meeting with you, so we can share concrete data from sessions and translate it into specific accommodation and goal requests, and your learner is more likely to get school supports that actually match how they learn instead of generic boxes checked on paper.
Multi-sensory kit shipped to your door
We send a manipulatives kit and digital drawing tablet right to your home so your child can build, move, and draw the math instead of trying to hold everything in working memory—making math feel more concrete and less scary because they have something to do with it, not just stare at a blank page.
And more.
Foundations Investment

Other Ways We Support Students
Not every student needs (or is ready for) Foundations. For some learners, small-group Algebra support or short-term homework help is a better fit. If that sounds like your child, here are two other options we offer:
Algebra Access – Small Group Support for 7th–9th Graders
For 7th–9th graders who are at risk of struggling in Algebra 1 (or are already in it), Algebra Access combines short-term 1:1 bridge sessions with a 12-week small group to rebuild key pre-algebra and algebra skills in a neurodiversity-friendly way.
Format: Four 1:1 bridge sessions + 12 weeks of small-group Algebra Access
Tuition: $2,350 total for the full path
Registration: waives the $125 annual registration fee
